Fun Weekend
Had ball on friday as usually, it wasn't bad except for the fact I bit my tongue from getting shoulder and got a good cut on there =S. Other than that it was fun. Norman's party was cool, he got messed fast tho haha. Good seeing some old friends again.
As for the rest of the weekend, I attempted to make cheesecake for the first time in my life. I think it turned out okay. Then I tried it the night after, and the crust takes weird. Janis thinks the brown sugar went bad. But the rest of the cake was good. Will definitely try to make it again. Also made nachos again. We need less meat next time. Overall had a good weekend.

Busy Day........
Haven't waken up before 10am in awhile on Saturday but needed to get things done. Went to get winter tires inspected + mounted with Will. First roadblock of the day, the tire that i thought just had a hole in it is totally useless. There was a tear on the sidewall that was around 1". Left Will's car behind and searched for me tire. Went to 3 places and hit my second roadblock, you guessed it, no STOCK. Apparently it's hard to get the Pirelli Snow Sport 210s. Went home and started calling places to see, and found one near my house. After hot pot lunch at home, went back to the garage to get Will's car, which ended up in the place losing two customers. Bad service after the task was done.
Went to grab Janis after and went to Toy's R Us to get something for my dad's friend. I still can't believe what the employee/kid said there. My dad's friend saved him a Wii Fit and I was picking it up. As soon as I was holding it someone asked me where I got it from and asked if it was the last one. As the employee started to explain the guy who knew how I got it gave him a signal to stop. Which then the employee/kid replies loudly "Yea I KNOW how he got it." right infront of the customer. Went to H Mart after since I was around that area. Ran into Chris there, which was a surprise. Ended getting short ribs, milkis, and black bean noodles. Had a good dinner with Janis and watch La Lingerie.
Overall a busy but interesting day.
Highlights
- moving 4 sets of tires is no fun at all
- musical car guy was funny haha
- lesson for will, NEVER try the ginseng tea. You owe me 2 minutes of my life back
- Jurassic Park intro music rocks!!

Impulse.......
Went to Niagara Outlets today on a complete impulse decisions. Went with a friend to Nike Outlet cause I heard they had some Hat + Fuji Rods for $49.99. Thanks again Will for calling the place to see if they still had stock. Drive there wasn't bad, a little over an hour. When we got there we went straight for all the gold boxes lol. We ended grabbing 6 pairs or so. I wanted those "ACU" looking P Rod 1s, but I passed. If they are around next time I head back I'll get them for sure. The drive was a lot longer since of the weather + traffic. Overall wasn't a bad trip.

Digital Fortress
Finally got around to reading Dan Brown's Digital Fortress. I remembering buying this book at the Hong Kong book fair. I think it was $100HKD for 3 novels. I grabbed this, The Drowning Man, and The Bourne Legacy. Not a bad deal considering the price of a paperback is like $10.99 CDN or so.
I enjoyed reading this book I got hooked on it very fast. There some good twists here and there. My original guesses for what happens were completely wrong haha. This book got me to think of how much of our data being transferred can be intercepted and read. It comes down to the whole idea of privacy. Would recommend getting this book. Easy read and a good story line. Probably looking to grab Deception Point by Dan Brown as it sounds interesting and I like the style of writing from him.

Yorkville Again........
Was in the Yorkville area again, but this time NOT for shopping. Went down for an interview for a full time position. Hope everything goes well and I get a call between the next 2 weeks. I think the interview went ok, hard to judge tho. I'm considering doing teach in Japan for 2-3 years if this job doesn't work. I know it'll be a big step in my part, leaving everything here and moving somewhere completely foreign to me. But this will be the only chance in my lifetime to try something like this. But I'll see.
It's officially Winter now with the light amount of snow we received. I hate driving in the winter in the tho the car is 4WD. Everything takes like double the time to get to. Got my Jay Chou CD from my Aunt in Hong Kong. I doubt she will be reading this but THANK YOU. She along with all my other relatives in Hong Kong are so kind to me. When I head back in the next 2 years I'll be sure to make to pay them back =).
Here is my little collection. Too bad it's not as good as the crazy stitch lady, but it's a start.

The Future........
It's been 2.5 months since coming back from my Asia trip, and I haven't accomplished much. I'm beginning to wonder what to do with my life. It's like I am sitting here waiting for an opportunity to hit me smack in the face. I doubt that will happen. I just feel unproductive with people around me having all these things to do. Should I go back to school? But there isn't much to study for post-graduate for business until I get experience for my MBA. I dunno why I am thinking about all this stuff today, but I guess it's time for a change. I need to be more proactive, rather than reactive. But with the way the economy is going, it's not a prime time to enter. There are also a lot of other routes I could take. Trying for a company in another place. I have briefly thought of the idea to head to Japan and do one of those teaching experiences for 2 years, but never really gave it much thought. I wouldn't make money but it would be a very nice experience. But I think it would be hard for me to just pick up my things and go somewhere else.
One a bright note, had a nice dinner with some friends. Home-cooking is the best. We bought way too much food, as usual. Well at least the hosts have leftovers for a good 2-3 nights.
My current favourite song: Okumura Hatsune - ホントはね

Home Opener
Went to the home opener tonight for the Raps, WHAT A GAME! We let the game slip away from us cause we had it. But our guys showed up in OT shutting down GSW. I hope the team improves and learns to maintain a lead cause we need that mentality for the playoffs. All and all a good night. Atmosphere was crazy in the ACC. Thanks again for Ed for the tixs, even though Al Harrington screwed up with a STUPID USELESS 3 pointer!

Recent Splurge.....
Went to Yorkville with Janis today to grab my pre-orders. Thanks again for holding them for me cause for sure they would've been gone. Went down to Queen after, where I ended up getting my second item......Just couldn't resist DQMs. I guess this means no more spending until Christmas for me, well I'll try hard. haha.
Fantasy pool draft was today. Think I ended up with an okay team. We'll see what happens.
I don't understand how my cough is still here, and I guess it's going to be for another 3-4 weeks which is what the doctor says. This cough is going to destroy my throat.

Wonders of the World.......
I'm always fascinated by rare animals/critters that make the news. I've seen a couple of shows about giant squids, but this one is something special. The first ever fully intact colossal squid. Watched the show on Discovery and the fact that we know so little about this creature makes me wonder what else we don't that inhabits our planet. I mean, they have yet to see a male version of this creature. This creature is a fighter, with 360 degree swiveling hooks that are 3", which is apparently the length of a tiger's claw.
On a side note, imagine how much grilled squid you can make with this catch! haha

Randomness
Again I was back at Yorkville, second time this week, and another disappointment. Sale started 1 hour late, so there went 1hr of paid parking. At least I got what I wanted from the sale. I should really stop spending now.
Had a great lunch. Korean black bean noodle is the best thing EVER! Thanks Anna for introducing it to me. Good trip to H Mart. Milkis + discount dumplings, what more can I ask for?

Installing the Invisible Shield for my phone was a nightmare. I wish someone could've done it for me, I would've paid good money for it. Best + most unheathly dinner ever. Double cheeseburgers + butter chicken. Good times with friends. Thanks for coming out and making another great day full of memories.

Blast from the past...
Time certainly flies. Been back from my Trip for a month and a half now almost. Where does the time go?
Been going over pictures from this past summer of my trip to Asia. Missing the fun I had over there and my relatives. I'll be back soon, within 2 years as I promised to my grandparents.
For those thinking of going to Japan, don't join a tour. You won't be able to experience the true culture of the city.
